The Art of Noticing

In this video, you are invited into the felt experience

of noticing and being.

You will be guided to use your senses, your breath, and to move into a gentle yin yoga pose to cultivate stillness and anchor into presence.

Together, we move through a gentle ritual of honoring space, land, lineage, and the natural world. You’ll be invited to soften into your senses, connect with a plant or flower as a living teacher, deepen your breath, and rest into a nourishing Yin Yoga child’s pose.

This practice is an invitation to slow down, attune to the subtleties of life, and notice the beauty that arises when we simply observe - without judgment, without striving, just being.

You may wish to gather a few items before beginning:

  • Sacred smoke (incense, palo santo, dried herbs, or a smudge stick)

  • A candle

  • A plant or flower for meditation

  • A comfortable space for Yin Yoga, with a blanket, pillow, or bolster for child’s pose

The art of noticing is one of the guiding pillars of Nectar.

Nectar is our online sanctuary of ritual, somatics, yin yoga, breathwork, creativity, and community. An ever-growing library of rituals, practices, and live circles that support you in living with presence and flow.

Noticing is about slowing down enough to witness the beautiful details that so often pass us by - the rise and fall of your breath, the way light shifts across the room, the quiet messages your body offers, the seasons turning both outside and within.

When you practice noticing, you awaken to the richness already present in your everyday life. You begin to move with more presence, respond with more ease, and feel more deeply connected to yourself and the world around you.

Inside Nectar, our rituals, meditations, yin practices, and creative explorations are all designed to cultivate this art - so that what begins as a moment of awareness ripples out into a way of being.
